Antony Gormley's Another Place, Crosby beach 2017
Just before the storm the beach was eerily quiet, only the raucous cry of a lone gull disturbed the humid, threatening air. The rust on the iron men appeared to glow in the false brightness of light reflected from the pale dry sand, a contrast to the dark of the heavy rain filled clouds sweeping in from the sea. The distant wind farm was scarcely visible through the deluge of water falling from the sky.
