These photographs were taken in and around the Five Valleys area of Gloucestershire, mostly within a couple of miles of my home, and between February and May 2016. In what is a new departure for me, I've done some post-processing of these pictures; actually, not as much as it may look like! After doing one or two, I was pointed to David Hockneys Yorkshire landscapes, and I've taken some inspiration from them, mainly in the use of colour. I like the sense of having taken an image, and then tweaked the dial slightly to bring out a different side to it, one that was lurking there all along and just needed to be discovered. Finding something new just a tweak away from nature.
