About

Inspired by a lifelong passionate appreciation of art, I have found particular consolation in photography following a serious illness soon after the death of my father.

I cherish early memories of watching him with trays of photographic chemicals in his darkroom at home (the airing cupboard!) and of the many wonderful black and white images he created. Later inspiration came from touring landscapes of Britain with my parents - and since then, with my husband and children.

Grateful to be in remission, I am left with a heightened appreciation of human kindness and of the beauty, joy and poignancy in special and everyday places.

I am interested in the transience of time, the poetry of colour and in imaginative ways of seeing and interpreting the world. My gaze is often skywards.
